LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

We currently have a vacancy in our HR team to support the continuous learning and development of our workforce. We are looking for a proactive, organised and passionate person to partner with the business and deliver to our organisational goals.

This role will also be responsible for leading the transition from manual, paper-based and transactional L&D processes to an automated, online system.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Establish and maintain relationships with internal customers; understanding their business and learning needs
  • Oversee training data capture for QA, safety and auditing purposes
  • Coordinate and manage compliance training to ensure regulatory requirements are met
  • Coordinate and approve training requests to ensure alignment with organisation needs
  • Manage and maintain industry standard work instructions across the business
  • Coordinate and deliver company induction and onboarding programs
  • Evaluate, develop and implement a Learning Management System
  • Manage design and delivery of a range of blended learning programs
  • Undertake training needs analyses and provide recommendations to the business on L&D requirements
  • Establish a formal working relationship with all company tutors to strengthen on-floor capacity of both tutors and employees alike
  • Partner with Operational teams to build a sustainable skills matrix, and design reporting tools to add value in multi-skilling and succession planning processes
  • Support the development and delivery of individual development planning
  • Develop and report on L&D activities to inform operational decision-making
  • Provide leadership and guidance to a small team

 

OUR IDEA PERSON :

  • Learning and Development experience in a high performance, fast paced organisation, supported by tertiary qualifications, preferably in HR, as well as a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116)
  • High volume manufacturing/processing industry experience an advantage
  • Experience implementing and managing learning management systems, as well as developing online content and managing e-learning platforms
  • Proven ability to deliver results in a high-pressure environment and manage multiple projects to deadlines
  • High level interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to quickly establish relationships across the business
  • Strong coaching and influencing skills, along with great attention to detail
  • Microsoft Office skills essential (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience with Kronos and training database applications would be an advantage
